Florida Bigfoot

Posted by pinellaspascoparanormal on July 18, 2011 at 12:18 AM

Given the amount of development that Pasco county has had in the past ten years or so, Bigfoot sighting have become more prominent, because the creatures are being forced into tighter areas where there is human traffic. The creatures also are coming into residential areas more often in search of food, ad food becomes more and more scarce for them. Some small grups of these creatures that once migrated between two or three  areas, seasonally in the past fifty years, are now finding their old route impassable without going out into developed areas, so they are kid of boxed into where they are. There are Bigfoot clans in many areas of Pasco county, and luckily for them most people who know about them, don't let on to where they are. This is because people do not want some Bigfoot hunters traipsing through their property or they want the creature to be left in peace. Some folks even leave food out for these creatures, and that is good and bad. It is good because they can use the food for sure, but bad because it brings them into contact with residential areas and into a dangerous situation if someone should see them that wants to capitalize by killing one.

PPP studies this creature but does not feel that it should be hunted, harassed, or captured. We feel it would be a sin fopr one to be killed by some fortune hunting, gun toting human predator. This creature never seems to hurt anyone and it does not kill people's pets unless they attack it first. It does steal fruit, veggies, fish, and occasionally objects of interest, but in reality does no real harm. People do not need to fear this creature coming into their homes or hurting them in any way, unless the people are harassing the creature. I have spoken with more campers, hikers, and residents who have encountered this creature than I can count, and yet no one has ever been seriously hurt or harassed by this creature. If you enter into this creature's territory it might throw a rock or branch, but that is to let you know that you don't belong there and to move on. If you move along peacefully it will usually leave you alone.

Right now it is in the paranormal news that a hunter supposedly shot and killed an adult Bigfoot and a baby. This may well be a hoax and I hope it is. If this were true then it would be a travesty, and a tragedy in my opinion. Read the story at this link if you want to know more about this rumor. I personally believe that this, like so many others will turn out to be a hoax, but someday it may happen for real and that will be a crying shame. If the Bigfoot is a close relative of human beings, then killing one would be murder.

A well known anthropologist stated that he believed that if a Bigfoot is found that it will most likely be in Florida, because the cmilate and terrain is perfect for them to live in. Florida is number 3 in the country for Bigfoot sightings. Other states have already laced a act into law to protect this creature, so this animal will be safe. Florida needs to do the same. In fact Florida needs to be more concerned with all of it's widlife and start putting a limit on development. If we don't then Florida like many other places will become one bug asphault plain. How sad will that be folks? We all need to support and promote wildlife anf forest conservation in Florida. Many former wildlife preserves are being sold, cleared and built upon, so where does it stop? The real estate market is saturated with homes that people can buy and that people can live in, so why keep tearing up wild lands to build more homes?

Big Foot is in no way related to a human being. They are a very unique animal. They should be protected by us. We were given domain over all animals by the creator and therefore it is our responsibility to ensure they go unmolested. Native Americans have had a close relationship and respect for this awesome creature for thousands of years. Some of them say that they are spirit /animal with the ability to cross dimensions at will.We simply don't know. We DO know that they are a real animal, the evidence and reports of them being in many areas of the world are piling up daily. We are intruding upon their home territory as we continue our sprawl into once unused lands. . There is a new reality series on now, "Finding Big Foot". I can only hope this will raise people's awareness about the gentleness of these beings. They do NOT threaten people unless they are threatened and then they usually try to use intimidation and even flee instead of attack. They only wish to be left alone. I pray that the great white hunter never sets his sights on one of them. Gun toting in just fine, not everyone that owns a firearm is a "Gun toting" menace. Most are very responsible with their use of guns. . We are all very curious about mr Big Foot. As I said in the beginning, it is our duty to help keep them safe. I am not sure really HOW we can do this. We need to figure out some way to accomplish this. I hope we do.

HI Glen and Jen! Well Jen I do think the whole thing may be just another hoax. Let's hope so?
Glen I agree with much that you have said here, but not all. The New show on TV "Finding Bigfoot" is a joke. It is yet another commercial farce aired for entertainment. The team is led by yet another modern day PT Barnum, "Matt Moneymaker." Some of the footage supposedly from the Everglades that was shown on the show is not even from the Everglades. Shows like this one just stir up more people who have the wrong agenda to go out and hunt this creature. The show is laughable, misleading and campy at best. I also disagree on this creature being unrelated to us. I have seen a Bigfoot in Florida from a distance of about 20 feet.. The sentience in the eyes of this creature was more human than anything else. Previously collected DNA samples have shown it to be very human like in it's make up. No matter what the case, it does need to be protected at any cost. If there were ever an endangered species this one is it.

Are there any photos from Pasco? I agree we need to stop the over development. Every time I see them ripping apart another forest for a damn strip mall I want to cry. Especially when there are so many empty & abandon strip malls they could renovate. Thanks to the distruction of the woods by Sunray/Gulftrace on 19 in Holiday for yet another car lot, we now have wolves/cyotes roaming our area late at night because they were forced out of there home. Makes me sick. However my husband & I enjoying watching our occasional visitors with awe. We also have more hawks and birds of prey in our hood aswell. Kittens & cats seem to be vanishing more frequently....stop destroying there homes & habitats...sorry rambling, guess you know how I feel!

Jacki I could not agree more with your sentiments about the woods and the development. I hate it as much as you do. The wildkife is dwindling for sure, with no place left to go. And yes Bigfoot is in Pasco county in several locations.
