Have been immersed in the paranormal since childhood when I had a profound ADC from my dad when he died. I always knew there was more to reality than this material existence. In addition to being fascinated by other people's accounts of paranormal experiences, I am very interested in the trauma that can often result from them.
I myself have had many experiences, fortunately none of them were negative or scary but working as a substance abuse counselor a couple of years ago and had a client who had had two very traumatic abduction experiences. I will never forget the terror he still experienced long after the incidents (one was in childhood). Nor will I forget how hard it was for him to talk about it...
My heart goes out to people who have experienced negative hauntings and other horrific encounters. Most often they are afraid to discuss their genuine experiences for fear of being further traumatized by the so-called sceptics. This prejudice puts them in such a terrible position usually with no support or help.
I think websites and forums like this are a genuine public service for such people and that's why I am interested in being a part of it. I am very impressed with how extensive and well researched your site is. Bravo!
