I’m 35-years-old and grew up in a small farm town in central Ohio called Marysville. I’ve lived in New Port Richey, FL since the summer of 1998. I’m an agented author/screenwriter with 20 published story stories, three self-published novels and the first two books in the Wendy Markland series published by Dark Castle Lords Publications to my name. I have been hired to write film scripts for several independent film companies.

For as long as I can recall, I have been dealing with paranormal phenomena. Since I was very young I have been able to see and sense things that most other people seem oblivious to. To this day I have no idea what some of these things are. I have seen what are commonly called Shadow People. This is actually happening with an alarming - to me - increase in regularity. I have witnessed poltergeist activity and once seen a vaporous, electric-blue mist drifting through the house. I have seen beings that I can’t begin to classify. Were they ghosts? Spirits? Faeries? Something else? I have no idea. Growing up, I used to be able clearly see auras in full color. I made the mistake of telling my parents about that. They repeated told me that such things were impossible. Over time I came to believe them. And lost the ability to see auras as I got older. Now, on rare occasions, I still see them. But I don’t see them in full-color anymore. Now, the auras are very faint and have a dark, oily gray color. I sometimes know what someone is about to say before they say it; I’ve answered questions that were only being thought and hadn’t been verbalized yet. I have dreams that, over time, I’ve learned to use as a type of early warning system about trouble in the near future for myself or someone close to me.

The house I grew up in was occupied by an entity of some sort. Most of the poltergeist activity I have witnessed was in that house. Several times since living here in Florida beings of some type have been in the house, apparently just passing through.

I am also Wiccan. My parents are devote Christians and tried to raise me to be the same. Their religion never felt right to me and my own personal beliefs were pretty much Wiccan before I had even heard of Wicca. As I said in the opening paragraph, I write. A lot of what I write is fantasy. I try hard to stay true to reality, taking as few creative liberties as I can. So, I did a lot of research early on, learning about magick and how it actually works. Studying magick led me to discover Wicca. I was amazed to find a religion that fit my own beliefs so well. Since becoming Wiccan, I have become even more sensitive to the paranormal and have experienced a lot of things over the years since. I keep my religion hidden from my parents, though I’m out of the proverbial “broom closet” as far as most everyone else is concerned.

For a while, I was part of the St. Petersburg, Florida-based paranormal research group called S.P.I.R.I.T.S., though was very rarely able to partake in any investigations. Which is what led to my no longer being with the group.
