EVP is the best form of evidence and communication we have right now in the paranormal field. Photos are questionable and limited in what they can tell us at this point. Orb science has reached it's limits at this time and just poses more questions as to the nature of these anomalies. EVP can give us answers and provide communication between this dimension and the next.

   We concentrate most of our efforts on EVP as this is where we learn the most at any case, we go to. Since we take a lot of hostile haunts we get some less than friendly evps, but at least they tell us what we are dealing with. Most of the time EVPS come across on tape or digital recordings as a whisper, but sometimes they can be louder than the voices of the living on the recording, especially if the spirit is right on top of the microphone. We have captured some very loud evps from time to time.

   We classify our evps as residual,active,or interactive, depending on the nature of the the responses or phrases we obtain via evp. We usually get an average of about 600 evps a year.Out of all the evps we have amassed over the past five years alone, about 75 percent of them were active or interactive. Active means the spirit was commenting to or about us, and interactive means the spirit was giving a direct response to our question or what we had said at the time. So the other 25 percent are residual voices which are just imprints on the airways of time and space of voices and sounds from another time with no conscious entity present.

   Over the years we have obtained evps from spirits that were angry, sad, lost, comedic, happy, sarcastic, musical in nature, informative, and some that were downright rude and nasty. We have many evps from child ghosts and suprisingly enough very few of them were sad or disturbing.  We have other evps from spirits that are not children but pose as children, and are actually either human ghosts appearing as children or IMPS, a non human entity. Through EVP we have learned that ghosts usually are not the lonely solitary entities that we tend to view them as. Usually where there is one ghost there are others. We have seven files at esnips of evps from the last two or three years, that we have captured from our cases and our research projects. By the way, we play back someof our tapes right at the client's home as we are collecting EVPS, this way they know they are genuine as they get to hear some of them right then and there. Also this gives us the opportunity to keep the communication going, as when we listen we know if someone is talking back. If we had waited until we went home to check for these evps, then we would miss the chance to keep the conversation going and lose evidence and information which might help to resolve the haunting.

We have obtained several evps from what seems to be the same child at a cemetery. On three different occasions myself and investigator Danielle from our team were there and we got these evps. If you listen to them it appears to be the same voice of the same spirit who sounds like a young child, most likely a girl.  EVP, once you have enough experience with it, is easy to detect. Most evps have a specific sound, cadence, and depth. Since spirits have no voice box, they tend to impress their words into the background noise. Usually the background noise will thicken before they come through which sometimes results as a popping or static sound, right before they speak. They speak faster than normal at times but leave a normal length pause between words. Sometimes soft consonants are lost in the playback, and you really have to know how to filter and clean an evp to hear it correctly, and know what is being said. This is a common theme with evps. Most are very low, like a whisper and others are very loud. If an evp is only on one tape recorder and there were two or more in a room, then it is usually a genuine evp, as they often do not come out on every recorder for some reason, but real voices do. I have  learned over time that different types of entities have a different sound in EVP. Many people miss evps on the tape, because they do not know how to bring their recording through the software to hear all the evps. What you hear with your ear to the recorder or even through headphones, is not the same as what you can hear through the PC with the right sound programs. Most people miss three evps for every one that they hear, on their tapes. There are many tricks to getting EVP in a location where the spirits do not want to interact with you. I have spent years using these tricks, that I have discovered. PPP gets more evp than most investigative teams, because we know the tricks of the trade and have the right attitude towards the spirits.

We also offer a service where we will  clean and enhance your evps, so they can be heard and deciphered.This comes in handy if you do not have the sufficient software and knowledge to do this yourself, and you have an evp that is important and you really want to know what it says. Because our evps are important with hostile cases we have become very proficient with evp work. We do charge a nominal fee for this service but only if we are able to work with your sound file. If there is no evp, or the evp is not able to be cleaned or enhanced enough for you to hear it, then we will not charge for that evp. We charge from $2.00 to $5.00 per evp depending on the difficulty, and how much work it takes, in fixing the file and enhancing it. 4. "Fuck off with the questions will you?"  This one is so clear you can even hear her New York accent. The loud voice in the middle is mine, I can not remove voices from the tape, so just be aware that my voice is not part of the evp, which starts before I speak and continues afterwards.

These are just some examples of the work we can do with an evp. Some are not as loud and clear as these, as some are really embedded and low resolution, but usually we can even clean those to an audible level. We can usually work with even a very low sound file, and improve it substantially. We obtain and clean and enhance about 500 evps a year from our own cases, so we have developed many techniques for cleaning them up. We use experience and three separate softwares to perform our evp cleansing and enhancing. We do not work with evps that are underneath someone's voice on the tape as you can not remove voices on tape digital, or analog. If you send us evps and we can not clean them, we will let you know and not waste your time or ours. In the past folks have sent us stuff that did not really contain any real evp, and in this case, we can not do anything with the files. We also have found evps in sound clips that the person had missed, when they sent it to us, if we find this sort of thing, we will bring them up as well, in the sound file at no extra cost to you.
